Kevin Godlington
grew up in Lancashire, in various children's homes
and in state care. After a spell on the streets and
a spate of committing juvenile crime as a teenager
as result of abandonment and child abuse, he joined
the army with no qualifications. After service with
5 Airborne Brigade and United Kingdom Special
Forces, Kevin left to pursue a career as a
commercial helicopter pilot and security consultant.
Next Kevin set up his business Treejumpers and was
soon awarded the ‘Shell Livewire Award’ for Business
in recognition of its dynamic and expedient
expansion.

Treejumpers was formed by redeveloping two existing
outdoor companies giving Treejumpers management the
combination of nine solid years of experience in a
wide range of activities along with the direction
and feel of a new and young company. Treejumpers
operates from England covering 4 centres with 4 more
new openings over the next 18 months. From its
humble beginnings, Treejumpers now employees over 50
full and part time staff and facilitates activity
holidays for 40,000 children per year from its multi
million pound centre’s in the United Kingdom . Its
head office is in Kent.
Kevin, now 33 years of age, runs an African
development company specialising in former conflict
nations and heads investment teams and large
bluechip companies in setting up large scale
agricultural projects and renewable and sustainable
bio fuel developments. Off the back of this Kevin
set up his charity the Treejumpers Development
Trust, offering residential and day trip coaching
and outdoor programmes to children from displaced
and disaffected socially deprived areas. The charity
has helped in excess of 400 children so far.
An active ambassador for the Charity Combat Stress
and avid fundraiser, Kevin is currently filming a
documentary 'Betrayed' charting the breech of
covenant that exists between the country and its
soldiers, searching for solutions to the current
failings our veterans experience.
In his spare time Kevin writes and travels. He lives
in Kent with his daughters. |
